South Sudan: UN announces support for refugees
On 7 July, BBC reported that UN Humanitarian Coordinator Peter Auweraert had released USD 8 million humanitarian fund for over 150,000 refugees, who fled from the conflict in Sudan. The UN humanitarian affairs office stated that the number of arrivals are projected to increase. Additionally, it stated that more than six million people have been displaced since the clash between Sudanese army and Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
